  1. Tash says:

The information about JIS is incorrect. The curriculum is American with the option of IB or AP in high school, not British/Australian/New Zealand. The enrollment is around 2,500, probably the largest and most popular international school in Indonesia.

  2. Tash says:

And by JIS, I mean Jakarta International School.

  3. Tricia says:

For parents who want to know their child’s multiple intelligences, in which area they’re good or not good at, also their inherent potential learning and character, just follow our dPi Fingerprint test. The most reliable fingerprint in Indonesia and supported by psycholog and counselor. For further info pls call Rika 0815 1849491. This isn’t palmistry but based on dermatoglyphics and scientist.

  6. Nancy says:

Just a word of caution about the Netherlands International School in Jakarta. Last school year (2008-2009) there have been many incidents. The principal made very dubious decisions concerning educational matters and mistreated local staff. The board doesn’t respond to any concerns of the parents. Plus the principal scrapped the ESL program, the students don’t get any decent English classes.

  7. Lya says:

Could you tell me the price of each school? Thanks.

  11. Lin says:

You should check Binus International School too.. they are offering IB the same curriculum as JIS..

  12. Parents,

You guys have to check out Royal Buckingham International School. This is the first international school in Jakarta that is affordable and really good.

I met up with the executives over there last week, they were very clear off their learning goals and benchmarks of the school.

They are also giving out free registration if I am not wrong. The school has adopted the IPC, Cambridge Exams.

  13. 14. hono says:

I think this chart is wrong. They have to inclube all ib schools in Jakarta. Like Sekolah Pelita Harapan. (SPH).

  15. David Ng says:

    Parents,

    Royal Buckingham International School. http://www.royalbuckinghaminstitution.com

I completely agree, that the school is proficient and well accredited. They also have computers in every classroom

The school has adopted the IPC, Cambridge Exams.

  16. John says:

They do great work at these schools

  17. ramirez says:

GIS GLOBAL JAYA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL IN BINTARO IS AN EXCELLENT OPTION TO JIS OR BIS BUT WITH A MORE AFFORDABLE PRICE

  18. Dia mirza says:

Gandhi is the excellent choice for the kids. Its making the kids to be more confident in public speaking. And its an ib school

  19. Nila says:

Those schools prices are above my neck by the look at it. Are those schools targeting locals or foreigner…?

  20. Anonymous says:

What about Sekolah Pelita Harapan in Lippo, I heard they’re good too.

  21. Caitlin says:

This is a good list but not necessarily what I’m looking for as I’m an Indonesian student and most international schools, due to the law that will become effective on 2013 by the ministry of education, don’t accept students with Indonesia passports. I’ve tried to enroll to various schools but they all gave me the answer that if i were to enroll then I would have to leave in 2013, which would be a pity. I go to Mentari International School Jakarta ( http://mis.sch.id/junior-high-cipete/) at the moment and my school has the IB-MYP program installed but it doesnt have DP in the Jakarta campus until god knows when. So if anyone has suggestions for schools that still accept Indonesian students please contact me, thank you :)
